Leapmotor Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology co. ltd. is a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer headquartered in Hangzhou, China. It was founded in December 2015 by Dahua Technology, together with its controlling shareholder Fu Liquan and director Zhu Jiangming. The Leapmotor brand was officially launched in March 2017, and the company sold its first vehicles in 2019. Leapmotor independently develops and manufactures its own electric powertrains and intelligent systems, with 65% of vehicle components being self-developed keeping costs competitive without compromising quality.
