Tata Altroz
Altroz is a 5-door subcompact hatchback car manufactured by Tata. It was first displayed on 89th Geneva International Motor Show in 2019. Subsequently, Tata Altroz was launched in Indian market in first month of 2020. Despite the covid-19 outbreak, Nepal too saw the vehicle in the same year as India though little late. Company claims Altroz to be the premium and safest hatchback in Nepal. The vehicle has received 5-star rating in crash test by the Global NCAP.
Talking about its specifications and features, currently Tata Altroz is available in 1.2L petrol engine with displacement of 1199cc. However, in foreign market, Altroz is available in 1497cc diesel engine as well. It comes with seating capacity of 5 and fuel tank capacity of 37 liters. As per ARAI, mileage of Tata Altroz is estimated to be around 19 kmpl for the petrol variant available in Nepal. This vehicle has ground clearance of 165mm which may be sufficient for city roads but may not be ideal for off-road adventure. Talking about the dimensions, Tata Altroz is 3.99m in length, 1.755m in width and 1.523mm in height with boot space of 345 liters. It gives maxium power of 86PS@6000rpm, whereas maxium torque of 113Nm@3300rpm.
